Successful WorkReady Jobs First Employment Projects 2015-2016 for Round 1 announced and Round 2 opened

The State Government has allocated $4.4 million to 28 private providers to deliver 44 Jobs First Employment Projects.

The initiative aims to improve the work readiness of job seekers and to transition people into employment.

These tailored projects were developed with employers, industries and regional stakeholders to assist job seekers. They combine skill development with support for priority job seekers such as mentoring and case management to address barriers to employment.

The Jobs First Employment Project approach gives training and service providers, employers and individuals the opportunity to co-invest in high quality training and employment projects that connect people to a job.
