More than 920 Aboriginal people have found sustainable employment through the Governor’s Aboriginal Employment Industry Clusters program; an employer-led initiative which aims to increase the employment of Aboriginal people in participating industries.
A forum held on 11 August 2017 at the South Australian Museum marked the first time that all 10 Industry Clusters have come together to determine the strategic priorities and strategies for the program in 2017-18.
The forum showcased and celebrated the achievements of the Industry Clusters and explored opportunities to increase the number of Aboriginal students undertaking and completing Cluster-related qualifications, such as accounting, commerce, engineering, science and maths.
