New Disability Workforce Hubs

Connecting people, skills and jobs in the disability sector

Five new Disability Workforce Hubs in South Australia are connecting jobseekers with local employers, training providers and employment to help fill job opportunities in the expanding disability sector.

The new Hubs follow on from the success of the first Disability Workforce Hub in Northern Adelaide, hosted by Northern Futures, which was established in November 2016.

The Hubs support the State’s transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is expected to create up to 6,000 jobs across the State and double the investment in supports for South Australians with disability.

Each Hub has an employment coordinator who helps identify local workforce needs and opportunities, and coordinates programs, projects and services in partnership with local employers and businesses, employment service providers, training providers and councils in their respective regions.

Jobseekers can also access enhanced career services to help them find employment in the disability sector.

The new Hubs are located in:

  • Southern Adelaide
  • Limestone Coast
  • Murraylands and Riverland
  • Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula
  • Yorke and Mid-north
